What to expect on your first visit?

After gathering a detailed subjective of your chief complaint, your therapist will perform a series of assessments. These tests involve observation and palpation of the abdomen, ribs, back, and entire lower extremity. The therapist will examine your range of motion and look for the cause of your symptoms. This initial evaluation will help the PT determine your strength, flexibility, posture, and mobility and how these may be contributing to your symptoms.

INTERNAL EXAM

An internal pelvic floor muscle assessment may be recommended however, by no means is it required to receive benefits from pelvic floor physical therapy.  Pelvic connect is here to meet you where you are and connect the dot to what may be causing your symptoms. We ensure all questions are answered and our patients are educated on each portion of this evaluation every step of the way. You will be able to make an educated decision on whether or not this assessment is best for you.
